Introduction
The Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) is an organization made up of security professionals representing high technology companies and related service providers. This strategy document describes the TAPA purpose, objectives, focus and organization.

Vision
TAPA will work for our industry to effect the reduction of losses in the manufacture, transportation and distribution of our high technology products.

Purpose
Provide workable solutions for issues that are experienced industry-wide by member companies. This includes sharing experience, processes that are not proprietary to member companies, improving overall security effectiveness in targeted areas and incorporating these processes across the industry to lower the affect of losses due to theft.

Mission
To establish and maintain best asset protection for the technology industry.

Member
The membership will be open to technology companies and related service providers. The strategic intent of the membership is to establish best known security practices in freight transportation and influence their adoption by regulatory bodies and promote compliance with identified best practices.
